Hiking the Aurlandsdalen Trail in summer

Sometimes even the best preparation doesn’t help. On our first day of the hike a rarely marked path led us through snowscapes with melting rivers. We didn’t really see anything apart from

the white that surrounded us 360° and didn’t expect snow at all.

As we move on the landscape changes, temperatures rise and the snow melts. Green slowly becomes the dominating color.

No humans but lots of sheep on the trail
